If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescription medications, have a chronic health condition, or are giving these medications to a child, please consult your physician first.

MEDICATION INFORMATION
Each medication is a full Drug Facts panel per 21 CFR 201.66. Structured as an accordion for easy reading.
Acetaminophen (APAP) 500 mg
Purpose: Pain reliever, fever reducer
Uses: Temporarily relieves minor aches, pains, and reduces fever.
Warnings: Do not exceed 4,000 mg in 24 hours. Do not use with other acetaminophen products. Severe liver damage may occur. Ask a doctor before use if you have liver disease.
Directions: Adults and children 12 and over take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 4,000 mg in 24 hours.
Bismuth Subsalicylate (Diotame) 262 mg
Purpose: Upset stomach reliever and anti-diarrheal
Uses: Relieves upset stomach, nausea, heartburn, and diarrhea.
Warnings: Contains salicylate. Do not use if allergic to aspirin, have an ulcer, bleeding problem, or bloody or black stool. Do not give to children or teenagers with chicken pox or flu symptoms.
Directions: Adults and children 12 and over take 2 tablets every 30 to 60 minutes. Do not exceed 16 tablets in 24 hours.
Electrolyte Tablets (Medi-Lyte) 250 mg
Purpose: Electrolyte replacement for hydration
Directions: Adults and children 12 and over take 1 to 2 tablets as needed with water.
Warnings: Ask a doctor if you have kidney disease, heart disease, or are on a sodium- or potassium-restricted diet.
Classification pending confirmation with pharmacy team.
Loperamide (Diamode) 2 mg
Purpose: Anti-diarrheal
Uses: Controls symptoms of diarrhea including travelers' diarrhea.
Warnings: Not for children under 2. Do not use if you have bloody or black stool. Ask a doctor if you have fever or a history of liver disease. Serious heart problems can occur if you take more than the recommended dose.
Directions: Adults and children 12 and over take 2 tablets after first loose stool, then 1 tablet after each subsequent loose stool. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.
Meclizine (Medi-Meclizine) 25 mg
Purpose: Antihistamine, motion sickness
Uses: Prevents and treats motion sickness. Also used for vertigo under medical supervision.
Warnings: Not for children under 12. Avoid alcohol. Do not drive or operate machinery. Ask a doctor if you have glaucoma or breathing problems.
Directions: Motion sickness, 1 to 2 tablets 1 hour before travel. Do not exceed 50 mg in 24 hours. For vertigo consult your physician.
Antacid (Alcalak) 420 mg
Purpose: Antacid
Uses: Relieves heartburn, acid indigestion, and upset stomach.
Warnings: Do not exceed 7 tablets in 24 hours. Do not use for more than 2 weeks. Ask a doctor if you have kidney disease.
Directions: Adults and children 12 and over chew 1 to 2 tablets as symptoms occur.
Diphenhydramine (Diphen) 25 mg
Purpose: Antihistamine
Uses: Relieves allergy symptoms and motion sickness. Nighttime sleep aid.
Warnings: Not for children under 12. Do not use to make a child sleepy. Avoid alcohol. Do not drive or operate machinery. Ask a doctor if you have glaucoma, enlarged prostate, or breathing problems.
Directions: Adults and children 12 and over take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 300 mg in 24 hours.
Ibuprofen (I-Prin) 200 mg
Purpose: Pain reliever, fever reducer, anti-inflammatory
Uses: Relieves minor aches, pains, and reduces fever.
Warnings: Do not use during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Stomach bleeding risk. Ask a doctor if you have stomach problems, high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, asthma, or take blood thinners.
Directions: Adults and children 12 and over take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours with food or milk. Do not exceed 1,200 mg in 24 hours.
Loratadine (Loradamed) 10 mg
Purpose: Antihistamine
Uses: Relieves allergy symptoms.
Warnings: Do not use if allergic to loratadine or desloratadine. Ask a doctor if you have liver or kidney disease.
Directions: Adults and children 6 and over take 1 tablet once daily.
DRUG INTERACTIONS AT A GLANCE
- Do not combine Diphenhydramine and Meclizine. Both cause significant additive drowsiness.
- Avoid alcohol while taking Diphenhydramine or Meclizine.
- Use Loperamide and Diphenhydramine together with caution.
- Do not combine Bismuth Subsalicylate with aspirin or blood thinners.
- Do not combine Ibuprofen with other NSAIDs or aspirin.
PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your physician before using any medication in this pack.
Ibuprofen should not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy. Diphenhydramine is not recommended while breastfeeding.
WHEN TO SEEK EMERGENCY CARE
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience difficulty breathing, severe allergic reaction, chest pain, severe abdominal pain, high fever above 103 degrees F, bloody diarrhea, or symptoms that worsen rapidly.
