"Wonder Drug"

What’s IVERMECTIN:

Ivermectin is an FDA-approved antiparasitic medication that has been widely used to treat a variety of parasitic infections in both humans and animals. Originally developed in the 1970s, it has been used around the world for conditions like river blindness (onchocerciasis), lymphatic filariasis, lice, and scabies. This medication has had such a positive impact on global health that in 2015 the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded to William C. Campbell and Satoshi Ōmura for their discovery of Ivermectin.

It is widely trusted for its ability to safely and effectively target parasites and provide relief from related symptoms. Ivermectin has continually proven to be an effective and safe treatment for a range of parasitic infections, and has been described as a ‘wonder drug’ due to its versatility. Not surprisingly, public health specialists around the world have called for more research for expanding the uses of Ivermectin.

ORAL OR TOPICAL IVERMECTIN

Which is best for you?

Oral and topical ivermectin work in similar ways, but their clinical uses vary

Oral Ivermectin

Conditions Treated: lice, scabies, general parasite cleanse*, roundworm*
*compounded product recommended

  • Well tolerated, safe, and easy to administer since it only requires a few doses
  • Can be used for topical parasitic infestations (ex: lice/scabies) that are widespread, resistant to other treatments, or difficult to reach with topical treatments.
  • Can be used for many internal parasites, or as a parasite cleanse.

Topical Ivermectin

Conditions Treated: scabies, rosacea

  • Effective on certain skin parasites/mites
  • Associated with a very favorable safety profile since absorption is minimal
  • Best suited for localized skin disease or situations where systemic exposure (or oral use) should be minimized
  • Can provide anti-inflammatory benefits like reducing redness and inflammation (ex: rosacea)

An Effective Treatment

It’s effective both as a topical and oral treatment, making it especially useful when infestations are widespread, resistant to other treatments, or difficult to reach with creams.

  • Scabies & Lice

Ivermectin is a valuable medication for treating lice and scabies because it kills parasites by disrupting their nerve and muscle function, leading to paralysis and death.

  • Parasites

Parasites can cause a wide range
    of issues, including nutritional
    deficiencies, organ damage,
    chronic symptoms, and in some
    cases, life-threatening conditions.

  • Rosacea

    Rosacea is a common inflammatory
    skin condition that causes redness
on your face or other parts of your
    body from various factors including
    microoganisms.

Still have questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I receive a call from the physician?

Depends on your state. Some states require a live encounter with the physician. In those cases you will receive a call from the physician. Otherwise, you will only receive a call if the physician has unanswered questions regarding your current medications or allergies.

I didn’t receive my tracking number?

If you did not receive a tracking number, please contact us at answers@jasemedical.com

Do you accept HSA cards?

You should be able to use your HSA card. Ultimately, it will depend on your insurance and we encourage checking with them before attempting to use your card. Some have very particular requirements, specifically an itemized cost break down of each medication which we cannot provide.

What if I have an allergy to one of the antibiotics?

We leave it up to the consulting physician to make a substitution if there are allergies. There is almost always a substitution that can be made. You MUST notate any allergies on your submission form. We cannot make substitutions once the order is placed.

How long can the antibiotics be stored?

Regulations require a pharmacist to place an expiration date of one year on most medications that they dispense. Remember to always store your medication in a cool dry place to maximize its viability.

Do you accept insurance?

Jase Medical does not accept any type of health insurance.
